Must be taken prior to or concurrently with Psych 308. Fulfills GE Advanced Written and Oral Communication requirement. WRTG 315 will substitute for this course. Psych minors, contact department student support for a permission-to-add code. Offered by BYU Independent Study; enroll anytime throughout the year; one year to complete; additional tuition required; register at is.byu.edu.

1. Communicate psychological ideas with clarity and purpose.

Learning Outcome

Students will produce clear, well-structured written communication that presents psycholgocail ideas that are appropriate for diverse audiences and professinoal contexts.

2. Apply ethical and responsible scholarship in psychological writing

Learning Outcome

Students will practice integrity in the use of evidence, attribution of sources, use or artificial intelligence, and representation of scientific findings in ways that reflect the ethical standards of psychology.

Students will evaluate psychological research and scholarly sources inw ays that cultivate curiosity, critical thinking, and habits of lifelong learning.
